This weekend we were lucky enough to get together with the ENTIRE Gentles family including great granddad, aunts, uncles, etc. at the Greenbrier. It was so much fun for James to visit with his extended family and get to know them all, and we loved every second.

Shake It
James is starting to do a series of movements which I can only hope are the beginnings or crawling. Or, perhaps becoming a back-up dancer.
I am pretty sure this is a video only a mother could love. I love it for two reasons: 1) I had a toy like this growing up and it was one of my favorites and 2) it shows that there's some hand-eye coordination developing. We have a ways to go before deeming him a prodigy, as you'll see there's a few false starts, but its incredibly rewarding!

Friends
James has developed some adorable friendships. His best friend, Elle, is with him everyday while we're at work. They love to laugh and stare at each other.

He's also got a few friends from when he was just 6 weeks old. Here's James with Mackenzie, Maya and Braden from his Mom's PACE group.
Friday Morning
One of my favorite times with James is Friday morning, when I get to spend the whole day with him, hanging out and catching up on lost time. This day was a particular favorite. Everything I did or said produced giggles.
Eight Months!
We can't believe James is eight months. Time has flown. from 8 lbs. to 23 lbs., he's gotten so big and has become so active and so much fun.

Puffs
"Puffs" the baby taste sensation are a new obsession of James'. A low-sugar version of the Cheerio, Puffs are awesome for eight-month-olds. And Pierre loves that 60% of them end up on the floor. Like all foods however, James' first reaction when they touch the tongue is skeptical at best!
Its Been a While
Life's been getting in the way of our blog updating, but, we're happy to report that James has kept right on growing and changing. He's eating a lot, trying new things, rolling around more and making crawling attempts, although all unsuccessful to-date. Here's a few recent photos and some of James' greatest hits videos.
